The volcano in Eyjafjallajökull has totally transformed over a night. From beeing a devilish beast, to a pure sparkling lava volcano. The amount of ash from the eruptions has gone down to a small fume from a destructive smoke before.

A shot taken few days ago on a truck trip with Jói and Gunnar Gestur "over" Mýrdalsjökull glacier to the erupting volcano in Fimmvörðuháls. Jói was really doing me a huge favor picking his place, on the edge in front of the volcano to make his shots. While observing this photo I was amazed how relaxed he ectually is standing there wile the volcano spreads the melting lava around the area. I guess the lava is about 1000-1200°C at this point.

At last all went well and nobody got "toasted" on this great phototrip.

The erupting volcano in Fimmvörðuháls on 4th of april. The new eruptions which started yesterday is in Eyjafjallajökull glacier, to the left in this image. The weather conditions (rain and fog) in addition to the area beeing restricted, makes it quite hard for photographing for now.

This Kite Aerial Photography panorama of 2 GoPro ultra wide angle images looks OK when seen @ 20% but @ 100% the quality is not acceptable.
Still a great tool for web illustration but definitively not for printing.
BTW, this is Vahine Island a small 9 villas resort on the island of Tahaa'a, society islands.
